Thank you for showing an interest in joining our wonderful school.

Most year groups are currently full, but do contact the school to see if we can accommodate you for in-year admissions. We have a couple of spaces available and would be happy to give you a tour of the school.

Reception Tours for starting September 2026*

If you have a child due to start Reception in September 2026, we have added one last date for a school tour. If you wish to book a space on Monday 12th January at 9.30am please call the office on 01444 400291.

*Please note, the deadline to apply for a Reception class place for the academic year starting in September 2026 is 15 January 2026.

Admissions

In common with most primary schools in the northern part of West Sussex, admission to Handcross Primary School is coordinated by a team based in Horsham.

Annual admission process

Children are normally admitted to the school at the beginning of the school year in which they will be five. In Reception class, we operate a flexible system of entry very much based on the needs of each child; the Early Years Teacher and Headteacher are happy to consult with you on this matter after your child has made the initial visits to the school in the Summer term prior to September entry.

For parents looking to secure a place for their son/ daughter during the school year (any year group), you are kindly requested to contact WSCC Admissions team, who co-ordinate this process for us.
